After June’s Brexit result that shocked the world, anything seemed possible. Hell, maybe even Trump will win now, I thought – but I hoped I was only kidding. Never could I have predicted that a few weeks before the fateful 8th November election, I would come to the harsh realisation: Trump has won. But how did the “joke” candidate, with no past political experience whatsoever, surge from a 16% favourable rating in May 2015, to becoming the 45th President of the United States?
For the remainder of the 2016 presidential election, we will be continuously updating the map below based on the most recent state polling to predict the outcome of November's election.
The previous map had Clinton on 287 Electoral College votes, and Trump with 183. Since then, polling suggests that Florida (29 EC votes) has swung from Trump to Clinton, and that Missouri (10 EC votes) has swung from Clinton to Trump.
